It never gets old, and there's always another way you can try to win with a different species you create. (easy strategy cheat - use transport hulls to build carriers for your fighters early on to dominate, before you can develop that hull technology) ConsI blame this game in particular for a C in my junior year (in 1998) dynamics class. The research system was enthralling.
